CADUCEUS: An esoteric symbol of spiritual enlightenment, higher wisdom
and immortality. Its roots are in Mesopotamian cultures around 2600
B.C.
CHAKRA:
A Sanskrit word meaning a "wheel of energy" or center
of energy. There are 7 kundalini chakras and 13 hara line chakras that
lie over the physical body within the etheric body and emotional/astral
bodies respectively. Their purpose is to bring in the invisible life
force that keeps us alive and helps us in our spiritual evolution. They
are very connected with our endocrine system and our nervous system
through the vagus nerve.
CHANNELING: Any form of mediumship is "channeling" in the secular vocabulary and"mysticism" in the clerical one. It is a process in which information is communicated
from a source perceived to be different from the conscious self. These
sources are identified variously as the Higher Self, some form of divinity,
spirits of the dead, angels, nature spirits, guardian spirits, totems,
nonphysical beings and many others. It is usually done in a dissociated
or altered state of consciousness; however, it does not have to be.

CHRISTOLOGY: Doctrines
and theories of the meaning of the belief in Christ (Jesus of Nazareth).
Typically, how a religious group thinks of Christ will greatly influence
its psychology, anthropology, mythology, liturgy and philosophy.
CIRCLE:
A feminine/receptive symbol of oneness, completion, perfection,
the cosmos, eternity and the sun. Psychologically it symbolizes the
Self, the totality of the psyche. It appears in sacred art and architecture
and plays an important role in various religious and magical rites.
A Witch casts a circle to keep the energies they are building inside
until they are ready to be released for healing to protect those outside
the circle; Ceremonial Magicians casts a circle to protect to protect
themselves from the energies they raise outside the circle. The Wheel
of the Native American is also a "sacred circle". Sacred circles are
constructed or "drawn" according to ritual and are purified and consecrated.
CLAIRAUDIENCE: The hearing of sounds, music, and voices not audible to normal
hearing. Often it is experienced in the dream state and related stages
of consciousness. It is a phenomenon of mystical and trance experiences.
Sometimes it is called "The Voice of the Eternal Silence". Some attribute
it to telepathic contact, others to the "other realms".
CLAIRSENTIENCE:
A superphysical sense perception that is one of the primary
tools of a psychic. It involves the psychic perception of smell, taste,
touch, emotions and physical sensations that contribute to an overall
psychic and intuitive impression which may register internally or externally.
CLAIRVOYANCE: Perception of current objects, events or people that may not
be discerned through the normal senses and which may manifest in either
internal or external visions or a sensing of images. It appears to be
a general ability among humans and appears to exist in animals.
COLLECTIVE
UNCONSCIOUS: An ancient concept developed by Carl G.
Jung that refers to the memories of mental patterns that are experienced
and shared by a large number, if not all, humans. Most members of a
single culture may have a more specific collective unconscious, while
sharing also in the more universal patterns. The terms is synonymous
with "universal consciousness".
COLORS,
PRIMARY AND SECONDARY: The seven primary and secondary
wavelengths or vibrations of light visible to the human eye: red, orange,
yellow, green, blue, indigo and violet, have had occult, religious,
philosophical and healing significance since ancient times and are believed
to have specific effects upon body, mind and spirit.
COMMITTEE
FOR THE SCIENTIFIC INVESTIGATION OF CLAIMS OF THE PARANORMAL (CSICOP):
An organization devoted to debunking all claims of the paranormal.
CONCENTRATION:
Used to mean focusing your mind so well on one subject that
the mind produces a powerful mental energy like a laser beam to that
subject. The purpose is to direct mental or physical energy to find
solutions to problems, to visualize effectively, and to heal.
CONE
OF POWER: A force field of psychic energy raised by
witches for magical purposes. The energy projected by the cone of power
is similar to that raised in a group prayer meeting.
CONTROL: A spirit or entity that acts as the primary intermediary between
the medium and other discarnates who wish to communicate to the living
through a medium.
CREATIVE
VISUALIZATION: Use of positive, affirming, vivid mental
pictures to obtain goals.
CROSS
CORRESPONDENCE: This occurs when two mediums, working
independently, provide the same information.
CRYSTALS:
Modern usage includes clear and colored quartz, semi-precious and precious
stones. They are widely used as amulets and talismans and are reputed
to have healing, psychic or magical properties.
