Glossary
Of Terms - K
KABBALAH: The mysticism of
classical Judaism first applied to secret, mystical teachings in the
eleventh century and has since been applied to all Jewish mystical
practice.
KARMA: A term for cause and effect or cause and consequences. It
is neither good nor bad but rather the effect created by your thoughts,
words and actions. The old saying of "what goes around comes around"
sums up karma. Since the cause and consequences are focused on energy
and not matter, it is created continuously by every thought, word and
action and is cumulative from life to life. Karma is balanced,
depending on the cause, either through relationships or inner work. The
idea is to change how situations which are similar to past situations
end. Most of this is accomplished with respect and forgiveness, not
only to and of the other individual, but also to and of yourself.
